About Us
Crowstone St Georges Church, in one form or another, has stood on the corner of Crowstone Road and Kings Road since 1910.
The Church and the World it serves differ greatly now from the time when Crowstone was first "planted" in this corner of Westcliff. In recent years people's expectations and needs of spiritual nurturing, support and friendship have changed.
In March 1992 the Church started the process that has brought about such a spectacular transformation to its building. The redevelopment was completed in February 2001, and cost a little over £850,000.
Not every generation has the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the way the Church of Jesus Christ can operate locally. The congregation at Crowstone St.George's grasped that opportunity and are now working to fulfil Christ's Great Commission.
